INTRODUCING BIM

Building Information Modeling is not just another program, nor is it just a 3D model.

BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a database containing a digital twin of all the buildings components and the massive amount of information that makes up an AEC project. Whereas previous workflows focused on various file formats and fragmented systems that quickly got out of sync when adjustments were made, BIM workflows make for a much more dynamic and coordinated approach to the design and construction process.

Model design, analysis and simulation tools help ensure that the project continues within the standards defined by stakeholders, developers, architects, engineers and sustainability managers.

Inside a suite of fully integrated programs, reporting and document coordination processes are carried out. Each party can exchange and coordinate knowledge with a wide variety of people within a project team simultaneously.

Built-in coordination and relevant tools for clash detection and conflict reconciliation can ensure that all information part of the project model is reviewed with issues resolved before going to the site. This can significantly minimise response and resolution times and substantially impact project schedules costs.
